In the NetApp OnCommand Insight Operational Server Web UI -
- > Admin
- > Advanced Troubleshooting
- > Actions tab
- there is a button ‘Restart Server’, what exactly does
this button do?
The description by the button is “Restart the OnCommand
Insight Server”. Of course, the button does not reboot the entire server. From
viewing the Windows Event Viewer > System log we see:
- The SANscreen Acq service entered the stopped state.
- The SANscreen Server service entered the stopped state.
- The SANscreen Server service entered the running state.
- The SANscreen Acq service entered the running state.
Note: If you have a big busy enterprise OCI instance, the services may not get restarted (i.e. the process might time out), in which case you would need to log on to the server and check.
