Zoom User Has Started Screen Sharing But You Just See A Black Screen!

For work purposes, I have to use a virtual desktop (Citrix VDI - Windows 10.) And it's happened a few times, where someone has started screen sharing, and all I see is a black screen.

Today I discovered why this happens. It is a bug in zoom. If the user doing the screen share has a laptop with external monitor (mirrored laptop and external screen seems to work fine) and is sharing their external monitor, you just get the black screen "user has started screen sharing." The solution is for the user to share their laptop screen out instead, then Zoom VDI users will be able to see the screen too.


PS: Not totally sure, but if resolution of laptop and external screen is the same, it might be fine.
