Quite often I have to install Cisco switches (especially the Nexus N9K-C9336C-FX2) and the rail kits that come with the Cisco switch are usually the two guiding prongs type, with the idea (if I've got it right) that you screw in the guiding prongs, then slide the Cisco switch onto the guiding prongs and screw up at the front. Okay with two people, but by yourself it can be a struggle.
Fortunately I do a lot of NetApp installs that come with the fairly standard "X-02659-00-N-C Rail Kit,4-Post,Rnd/Sq-Hole,Adj,24-32". I take one of these rail kits, upturn them, put a screw in the front, and, Bob's your uncle, we have like a temporary shelf to guide our switch in on.
