I have 6 tasks to do this weekend at two different sites.
My task list
0.1) Find all parts
0.2) Verify provided cable lengths all good
1) Hot remove one NS224 shelf (ID 50 ... actually 00 by mistake):
Hot-remove a shelf - NS224 shelves
Very simple. As long as the disks are all spares (ideally you'd un-own them too), you can pretty much simply power off the shelf, and unplug the storage connections.
2) Upgrade Cisco Nexus 9336C-FX2 switches to 10.5(4)(M)
Install or upgrade the NX-OS software
Switches are currently running 10.2(3)(F) which is still supported but makes sense to upgrade NX-OS whilst we're working on these switches. Note: ONTAP is 9.16.1

3) Convert from Cluster/HA RCF to Cluster/HA/Storage RCF
Upgrade your Reference Configuration File (RCF)
Currently using Cluster-HA RCF 1.8, we need to erase the config, and change it to Cluster-HA-Storage RCF 1.13

4) Add additional disks to NS224 (ID 50):
Simple stuff.
5) Hot add two NS224 shelves (ID 50,51):
Hot-add workflow - NS224 shelves
Very simple. Be sure you've set the shelf ID correctly (if your system has internal disks, that will be shelf 0, so don't leave the shelf ID on 00 - best practice is 00 should be reserved for internal disks).
6) Expand data aggregates:
Simple stuff.
